Friday foto: Soak up history while you take the Chicago Water Walk

Did you know that the downtown lakefront in Chicago is manmade? In the 1800s the city met the lake about where Michigan Ave is. And it was petty swampy. Debris, ash and dirt from the Great Chicago Fire were put in the lake to create more land. With more fill added over the years,  the public space we have today came to be. To learn more cool things about the Chicago lakefront, download the Chicago Water Walk app. It's a beautiful day to go for a walk!
